Spine surgery

Spine Surgery at GRO brings together our board certified fellowship trained surgeon and support staff to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the spine.

Back pain is a major cause of the patient visits we treat. Treating back pain involves detailed procedures that evaluate each patient to determine the basic cause and most appropriate course of treatment to provide lasting long term relief.

Our spine surgeon and support team employ state-of-the-art diagnostic procedures to arrive at a diagnosis and determine the appropriate course of treatment. Diagnostics include x-rays, MRI and evaluations to isolate the particular anatomical structure, process or disease causing the pain. Depending on the diagnosis and other factors, treatment can include medication, physical therapy, exercise, counseling, therapeutic injections and surgery. Conditions (both lumbar and cervical) diagnosed and treated by our spine team include:

  • Anterior Cervical Disectomy and Fusion
  • Cervical Posterior Foraminotomy
  • Fractures of the vertebrae
  • Herniated and dislocated discs
  • Mechanical back pain
  • Pinched nerves
  • Sciatica
  • Spinal stenosis (narrowing of the spinal canal)
